Day 38 Marquette to new berry

So last night Carrie and I went swimming in the lake.
We got up ridiculously early again. 174 km today.  We left last today again.

Lights on for safety.

As you can see the sun was shy this morning. Even it wanted to stay in bed.

Once again Rueben is admiring the downtown harbour instead of looking at the road.

Sara and Jen and Bonita checking out the iron oar loading dock.

Rueben and Lake Superior

First rest stop

It had a bunch of sculptors
A long climb and we came across the tandem of missy and brenna.
There chain came apart but we managed to find the link and put it back together. It was a price of cake. Looks abut like chocolate cake though.
This pick was taken by Rueben. The lake is beautiful.

We may have stopped for a few calories in the form of freshly baked cinnamon buns.

Apparently  they make some big mosquitos in this place.
Here's a fixer upper. 400$. Obo
So we went through the town of Christmas
Look what i found.  A truck full of santas helpers. Their funny looking elves.

More riding.  The first half of the day was on roads with nice shoulders. The lake was always to our left.

Another small town with lots to see

Looks like this one just rolled off the lot.

I forgot my water bottle at this stop.

The longest straightest road since the prairies. The trees protected us from the winds nicely.

It's like these people are all heading in the same direction.

The sea was angry that day my friends.

Another stop. Eat and drink all day long.

This looks like a large fridge but it's actually a outhouse. Now if it had beverages in it you would never have to leave

I think it has potential. Looks like logs behind that siding.

This stretch seemed to last forever but we finally made it in. Two long rides in a row. Just a short 106 km ride tomorrow. Did I just say that?  We got to camp. Had supper

Then we went for ice cream. I got nuts on mine. Like I need more.

A great end to a great day. Len.
