Day 49+50 Ottawa to la chute que

So I'm sorry I missed yesterday's blog   Sometimes you just don't feel it. Is it ok to not always be up. Is it ok if you want to yell at someone or tell them to get lost or maybe even something worse. Are you stuck in your spiritual  life. Does that mean your not doing something right because dedicated Christian's should never be stuck. I think that's not true. You can't get unstuck if you don't get stuck. Getting stuck forces you to stop  the momentum of our life and search for Jesus. Sometimes we need to say we give up  and then put things into perspective so we can move on. Being in close community causes joy and the opposite of joy. It's ok not to be ok all the time. Keep working at it.
We spent the day at the beach yesterday swimming and watching the canoe and kayak races.

Nice and relaxing. Good to get out of the normal routine.

This morning Reuben and I headed out.

A bunch of people following us. Or is it a gaggle

We only got a few km in when we had to stop for a photo op of the falls at the canal.

Of coarse these guys all stopped too.

We cycled on a bike path for about 40 km first thing this morning. It was a busy path but it is obviously a cycling town because it went great and people were not annoyed by us.

It was a great ride.

We went a little off coarse today. Ended up on Sussex Drive.
24. The prime ministers residence. He wasn't home.
Then we went to Rideau hall.
Not sure if the Governor General was home but I did use the bathroom.

Looking out over the Ottawa river towards Quebec.

Back on route we had a rest stop at the war museum airport.
Saw one take off right over us.

Crossed over the river on a small ferry.

Captain Reuben driving the ferry.

New province.

I think we wrecked the ferry.

Only 156 I'm to Montreal

Went past a log home builder.

So today we were last at rest stop 1,2,3,and 4.

Never seen this sign before.

Around this corner we saw why they needed the sign. This farm was right on the edge of the road.

Here's an old log cabin along the route.
We stopped for poutine at a small local shop. It was great. Reuben had Montreal smoked meat on his.
We went through a cute little town called montebello.
A  local cheese place.

We passed Jim a few km from the last rest stop.

Passed some beautiful islands.
This sign means a nice shoulder. Bike friendly.
Made it to camp after biking 145 km. We did 5 extra  km sightseeing. Some people said we got lost but a man is never lost if he doesn't ask for directions.
Here's a pic of peleton tonight. It's a big group.
Off to bed.  Len
